  3. 5.0 out of 5 stars An enchanting and well written book By Amazon Customer on 1 July 2017 I bought this kindle edition last night, and have not been able to put my iPad down since, this book has taken me on a journey that lets me see the characters in full. I feel that I'm not reading a book, but watching a great movie. And it's a very long time since I read a book that held my imagination for so long. It is an exquisitely written book. I applaud the authors. I hope I don't have to wait too long to read the rest of the series. This is the kind of book that I will purchase for my older kids, they are in their 20's and 30's, for I know they will enjoy zima's travels as much as I am .

  4. A Fabulous Start To A Very Ambitious Series By Vision Quest Verified Purchase 5.0 out of 5 stars The the first book in a very ambitious series . In a nutshell, the premise of the series is that the twelve representatives of the Celesitial signs will each mentor a soon to be leader of a top country. In this first book, Zima, the oldest daughter of the Czar has been living in seclusion with her Uncle Pieter and Aunt Mishka in a hidden location. As if from a dream, Zima meets Capricorn. Capricorn is her guide as they return home. Along the way they encounter many characters including all the other zodiac personalities. Each has wisdom, lessons and stories to share with Zima. The story was very enjoyable, especially since each of the characters was unique and distinct in nature and dialogue. It's a fabulous start to what will become an enjoyable series. I look forward to seeing how all the Zodiac characters evolve since I'm assuming they may appear in each of the books. It's actually quite a brilliant idea. If you love astrology, fantasy and mythology you simply MUST read this book

I love fantasy and mythology. I definitely got that in the new book Zima. What I did not expect was the magical journey I travelled with the characters in this book. Each page was a genuine surprise. Each Chapter a new adventure. I had no idea where we would be next or who we would meet.
I can honestly say that finding this book was just perfect. I felt like I belonged as a character in the book. I was Zima lost and found.
Halfway through the book I realised this book would be an amazing movie or TV series. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age.
The Authors really outdid themselves. I would never have imagined such a unique concept. But I am so glad they did !

I was also so excited to see that there will be eleven more books to follow.
I am looking forward to the next book and I hope it is my sign.

When I purchased this book, I was worried that it was going to be just another 'Star Gazers Guide to the Galaxy'. I needn't have worried, almost as soon as I started to read I was transported into a realm of magical creatures and beings. Each with their own unique, sometimes quirky but always lovable characters. Every chapter brought a new challenge for the heroine 'Zima' and her companions. A delightful read from start to finish, what an adventure! I shared every step with Zima, as she went on her physical and spiritual journey.
It also gave me a better understanding of the different character traits of the star signs, and how we can benefit from the positive attributes of them all.
This being the first book in a series of twelve ( one book for each star sign ) was a pure joy to read, and I can't recommend it highly enough, I'm really looking forward to the next book. It promises to be a stonking adventure for readers of all ages. It's written in the stars!

As a resident astrology maniac, this book was SO up my alley. Each character was really complex and interesting (and just like their zodiac sign!) and completely lovable even with their faults. (I'm looking at you, Scorpio.) The introduction of each sign was so creatively done, and I loved each gift that Zima received from them. Aria (Aries) gifted her a Diamond, and Gem and Ini's gift of a Yin-Yang pendant are only 2 examples.

The story was easy to follow and clearly written so you'll never get lost in a sea of words. You might even completely fall in love with one or all of the characters. (I'm rather partial to Leo,
If I'm being honest.) Zima's adventure is enchanting, and reminiscent of an amped up, badass fairy tale. I could read it another ten times, and I've just ordered the next book in the series James...which reminded me to come here and write this. I doubt I'll be disappointed, and I can't wait to see more!
Read the book....just do it.
With love, Ella Sanders

I liked the cover and took a chance. I'm not typically a fantasy reader as such, but the concept of the zodiac signs really caught me. I am a Pisces myself, and my wife loves to talk about her zodiac sign often (she is Capricorn) and I found endless similarities and entertainment in the characterization of each sign. Cappy, for example is as sarcastic as my wife and any other Capricorns I know. The characters are likable and you immediately become attached to them, as well as Zima's (the Russian Princess) quest.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys astrology, or a good adventure. There are other messages attached to this book that can be interpreted in many ways, but you get what you want to get from this book. It has notes of what I could only call spirituality, as well as just life lessons, like a fable. I often read period-novels, and this one is very careful to keep in line with it's early 1900's roots, considering Zima's father's status as a Czar.
Each of the descriptions of the signs in the introductions (titled "the cosmic journey") is worthy of a novella or something all on it's own. The book is beautifully written, and never hits a lull, and I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series. 10/10 :)
PS... I just ordered James (Gemini) and I cannot wait for it to arrive!

This is one of those easy to read, " I can't put it down" books which moves along at a good pace, introducing, then bringing to life each of the 12 Zodiac Signs as experienced through the journey of the young heroine, Zima. I enjoyed it so much that I have already started on the next book in the series, James.
